Mentioned by Allan Crouch in his book SS & Jaguar Cars 1936-1951.
Shipped on 6 May 1940 to Myles Standish, American Vice-Consul in Marseille on the southern coast of France just 4 days before the German invasion of France. Marseille was in the Vichy region. It is unknown what happened to the car after the USA entered the war in 1941.
