we are informed by the vendor, who has owned this vehicle for the past twenty years, that it has only had two owners from new.

The car has been described as being in very good condition throughout and it has only been recently used for the occasional wedding. Although the current mileage of 75,643 can't be certified, the present owner does believe that it is correct from new.

With the sale comes the original log book, a current V5 registration document confirming the original registration of BOW 535, and we have been informed that there is also a number of spares available and we suggest that the new owner contacts the vendor regarding these after the sale.

A superb piece of motoring history.

This striking Jaguar SS 1½ litre saloon is a matching numbers car as confirmed by the accompanying Jaguar Heritage certificate. Supplied originally to a Mr. Jack Trotman of Stockport on 6th August 1938, it is believed Mr.Trotman kept the car for 62 years with the car changing hands for the first time in September 2000. Finding its way to Italy in the new millennium, this 1½ litre saloon underwent restoration, although the original seats were retained and have a splendid patina to them. The Jaguar returned to the UK in March 2012 and the current vendor managed to re-register the car on the original registration plate of BOW 353. According to the Jaguar Owners Club, there are only 61 1½litre all steel saloon cars worldwide and it is thought this is one of only six in the UK. Supplied with a V5 registration document and a full year's MoT test certificate, together with a comprehensive collection of photos detailing the restoration, this is a rare opportunity to purchase a very useable pre-war classic.
