"This particular 3.5 Litre car was delivered new through Henlys Ltd to a Mrs Hetherington on the 25th March 1938 in Birch Grey with Blue interior. At the hands of Mrs Hetherington the car won its class on the 1938 RAC Welsh rally and there is a copy of The Motor magazine recorded the win. After WW2 like many other SS100, the car was shipped to America, where its ownership was recorded in theSS100 register from its earliest editions. The car was then imported back to Europe by Gerd R Lang( the proprietor of Chrono Swiss watch makers), who comprehensively restored to car to near concourse condition, with many photos on file of the restoration. The car was subsequently well sorted and used on many historic rallies across Europe.
The car drives very well having recently received new kingpins and a rebuilt steering box. Finished in its original colours of birch grey with blue trim. This is a fantastic opportunity to acquire a car with fine early competition history."
